Who we are

I worked as a labourer for many years. After the arrival of our first child, I realised there was more to life than working twelve hour shifts, seven days a week! I embarked on a training course and worked with an established heating engineer to gain experience. In 2014 I became Gas Safe registered and set up my own business. Although it was a lot of hard work and a little bit scary, it was the best decision I’ve ever made. I love being my own boss and enjoy the variety of the work. I meet a lot of lovely people and benefit from spending more time with my family.

 

I enjoyed working for ten years as an office administrator. We then decided that I would stay at home to raise our children. During this time, I completed my degree in business management, which came in very handy when John decided he wanted to set up his own business! After a lot of planning and some stress, we launched Taylor Plumbing & Heating in April 2014. I support John with the business side of things and leave him to do the “real” work, as he puts it! Working from home fits in perfectly with the children and we all enjoy seeing more of John.
